R&D collaboration explores mobile application payment data indicating corporate performance

(Fuller), a leading mobile development and data provider in Japan, will start developing an in-depth alternative data service for international financial institutions featuring smartphone usage data form the Japanese market.
Alternative data continues to grow in popularity in investment decision-making, with institutions across the world looking for new, non-conventional sources of data from foreign markets. Together with Fuller, NRI will launch research and development on Japanese alternative data service, specifically on insights into the Japanese markets and corporate performance through mobile device usage data.
