Tokyo and New York, June 27, 2018 - Nomura Research Institute (NRI), a leading provider of consulting services and system solutions, today announced that I-STAR/CORE has added a new function to respond to a new listed options trading method, Flexible Options. The new method was recently introduced by Osaka Exchange, Inc. (OSE) on June 25 th , 2018.
With Flexible Options trading, contract terms are negotiated and customized, registered with the exchange and then delivered to financial institutions twice a day. I-STAR/CORE, which was recently revamped with enriched real-time processing, reliability and expandability, has now added functionality that can automatically upload the security information as it's delivered twice a day.
As a result, all I-STAR/CORE users can now process the following post-trade processing on the same day:
- Manage limitation of positions and deposits
- Engage in market syndication, reconciliation and accounting
- Create regulatory reports for external institutions that are compliant with market standards and ongoing mandates
