Tokyo, July 22, 2024 – Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO Kaga Yanagisawa, “NRI”) has achieved a remarkable milestone by being ranked 8th in TIME Magazine's "WORLD'S MOST SUSTAINABLE COMPANIES OF 2024 1 ," announced on June 25, 2024.

This ranking, a first-time collaboration between TIME Magazine and German statistical data company Statista 2 , identified 500 pioneering companies in sustainability from over 30 countries. Companies were rigorously evaluated on more than 20 indicators, including sustainability-focused business models, commitment to environmental goals, external ratings, greenhouse gas reduction, and "non-financial information disclosure." NRI's total score of 81.03 points propelled it to the top 10.
