Tokyo, July 29, 2025 – Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO Kaga Yanagisawa, “NRI”) was recognized once again by TIME Magazine as one of the WORLD'S MOST SUSTAINABLE COMPANIES OF 20251, announced on June 24, 2025. This marks NRI’s second consecutive year on the list and reflects a rise from last year’s 8th place, underscoring the company’s accelerating impact and leadership in sustainability.

This ranking, an ongoing collaboration between TIME Magazine and German statistical data company Statista2 since 2023, identified 500 pioneering companies in sustainability from among more than 5,000 of the world’s most influential companies. Companies were rigorously evaluated on more than 20 indicators, including commitment to environmental goals, external ratings, greenhouse gas reduction and non-financial information disclosure. NRI earned a total score of 85.77 points, propelling the company into the global top six.
