The two companies have signed an agreement under which NRI will be responsible for first-line customer support activities related to RIMES' Managed Data Service in Japan. NRI will also drive the sales process of RIMES' service targeting asset managers, brokers, banks and insurance providers in Japan.

Financial institutions' needs to bolster data coverage and customize data have been increasing as they expand and diversify their asset investments. Responding to these needs, NRI decided to add this new offering to NRI's Integrated Data Service (IDS) which provides a wide range of securities market value data necessary for mark-to-market accounting as well as support service relating to the use of the data.

The agreement is a boon to Japanese firms looking to utilize RIMES Managed Data Services, such as RIMES global data coverage with NRI's strong local presence and in-depth market knowledge.
