October 19, 2022 – Nomura Research Institute Australia Pty Ltd (NRI-AU), a member of Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (NRI) Group have today announced the signing of a three-year partnership agreement with NSW Waratahs to become the club’s Principal Partner. The NRI Group logo will appear on the front of the NSW Waratahs match jersey from the 2023 season onwards.
NRI-AU President Hiroyuki Kawanami said, “The Waratahs are New South Wales’ premier rugby union team, and we are proud to partner with them as they turn the page on the Covid-19 pandemic and welcome their fans back following the appointment of Head Coach Darren Coleman.”
Under the leadership of Coleman, the NSW Waratahs had a strong Super Rugby Pacific campaign in 2022, qualifying for the finals for the first time since 2018. The club recently signed Wallabies Kurtley Beale, Tolu Latu, and Fijian Test star Nemani Nadolo ahead of the Super Rugby Pacific 2023 season and have set their sights firmly on a top four finish next year.
