Profile

After graduating from Keio University's Faculty of Economics in 2003, Atsushi Okamura joined NRI in the same year.
After joining the firm, he was mainly engaged in projects related to industrial policy and urban development in Japan and abroad.
Later, he was also involved in MICE projects as part of industrial and urban policies initiatives. In addition to assisting national and local governments in formulating strategies, he also provided support for facility and area development for private companies.
In addition, he has a track record of numerous other projects related to regional development, large-scale redevelopment, and human resource policies.
From 2017 to 2023, he taught "Convention Industry Studies" at Rikkyo University.
Since 2022, he is serving as President of the MPI (Meeting Professionals International) Japan Chapter, an international MICE industry organization.
