Profile

After majoring in Molecular Biology at Ochanomizu University, Mia Matsuo joined NRI in 2004. She worked on business strategy projects in the semiconductor and sensor fields, later leading restructuring and management reorganization efforts for electronics and precision companies. In 2019, she was appointed Group Manager of the MedTech & Life Science Group, and in 2023, she became General Manager of the MedTech Consulting Department. Since 2022, she has been a member of the committee for the promotion of research, development, and dissemination of medical devices to improve the quality of medical care under the 8th Medical Care Plan of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. In 2023, she also joined METI's Vision for the Medical Device Industry Research Group.

Specialized field

Mia Matsuo oversees the planning and promotion of management and business strategy projects for client companies in the MedTech and life sciences manufacturing industries. She is engaged in providing consistent support from management-level decision-making and consensus-building among key personnel to operational involvement.
