Profile

After completing his postgraduate studies at Waseda University's Graduate School of Creative Science and Engineering, Department of Civil And Environmental Engineering, specializing in urban planning, Tadahiro Ikoma joined NRI. Since then, he has worked as a partner in policy formation, reform, and implementation, primarily in the public sector. He has been engaged in diverse tasks across industries, including planning strategies, policies, and projects for urban and regional revitalization (proposing a vision), proposing the transformation of systems and mechanisms supporting policies and projects (system design), evaluating the socio-economic effects of policies and projects (methodology proposals and measurements), creating business opportunities through public market development and restructuring of local public enterprises.
In recent years, he has also engaged in research and consulting on promoting measures against loneliness and isolation, a significant social issue that Japan needs to overcome.
