Overview

Daybreaker/PL was developed as a shared ASP service that supports reporting and inquiries of credit data to the designated credit bureau (hereafter referred to as the "Credit Bureau"). This is for the consumer credit industry, including lenders and installment sales vendors, in compliance with the designated credit bureau system established in the Amended Money Lending Business Act and the Amended Installment Sales Act.

Clients

Credit card companies, credit loan companies, consumer lending companies, banks, etc.

Features

In accordance with the Amended Money Lending Business Act and the Amended Installment Sales Act, lenders and installment sales vendors were bound to join the Credit Bureau and conduct reporting and inquiries thereafter. With the consumer credit industry facing with new measures due to legal reforms (including regulation of total emissions and duties to prevent excessive credit) and the fitness of corporations on the decrease, it has become difficult to deal with systems in the period stipulated by regulations.

This is why NRI developed the shared ASP service "Daybreak/PL" that connects to the Credit Bureau. In addition to reducing operating costs through sharing and making connection requirements generic, in developing "Daybreak/PL," NRI aimed to separate the Credit Bureau connection function from member corporations' coer systems, considering changes to reporting requirements that the Credit Bureau may make in the future. The service became available in June 2009 at the same time that the Amended Money Lending Business Act came into effect and new functions were added in March 2010 to respond to the Amended Installment Sales Act, enabling connection to the Credit Bureau for both regulations.

Daybreak/PL is an ASP system for reporting and inquiry to the Credit Bureau. NRI manages and operates the system and takes care of the connection between Daybreak/PL and the Credit Bureau. Customers can introduce the system just by preparing applications for the "General-purpose interface.

Functions

The main functions include reporting and inquiry to the Credit Bureau. Credit card companies, credit loan companies, consumer lending companies, banks, and other member corporations are held responsible when there are changes to data concerning collation of accounts held by the same person and to their users' outstanding debt but the format, set content, timing, and other factors differ for each Credit Bureau.

Daybreak/PL provides a "general-purpose interface" in an original format to allow reporting and inquiry to multiple Credit Bureaus without the user having to worry about the format for each Credit Bureau. Users need only prepare applications for the "General-purpose interface" and need not develop applications for each Credit Bureau after introducing Daybreak/PL.

Daybreak/PL ASP services differ from system packages in that billing is done per service after implementation. Only functions and services that are needed can be selected and used, saving users time and minimizing costs.

Furthermore, the line connecting Daybreak/PL and users has a standard secure network configuration through a duplicate system.
